How do I…
- Subscribe to a podcast using:
- Request podcasting for my course.
- Please submit a request through using Schedule a Podcast webpage. Please allow up to 48 hours to begin your podcast.
- Request podcasting for my meeting/event.
- Please submit a request through using Schedule a Podcast webpage. If your event is a public meeting and you need recording services, please submit a online request through Media2000. You will need to request a wireless microphone and audio recorder. Provide detailed notes in the form.
- Create my own digital media file.
- Any digital media file can be published for podcasting. Faculty can choose to create their own digital media files such as newsclips, music, special lectures or meetings. Most computers have basic recorders that will create media files. For help in compressing or converting multimedia files for podcasting, please contact Siddiq (Muhammad Siddiqui-Ali, siddiq@ucr.edu).
- Computing & Communications has one computer lab with multimedia software for creating digital media. This Mac based multimedia lab is located in the Arts building, room 311. Please visit the Multimedia Production Lab website to get more information including availability and support.
- Podcast from my G.A. classroom (after podcast confirmation from Multimedia).

Unlock the media cabinet in the classroom. |

Clip on wireless mic and turn on power (and un-mute if necessary). Belt pack light should flash and go off. If the light stays on, then replace battery (batteries located inside drawer). |

Turn on the PC computer. The PC computer is running software that conducts the audio recording. If the computer is already on, please make sure “iSound” software is activated. Activate by double-clicking on desktop icon. |

If you have problems during class, please press the HELP button on the control panel. |
